I’m using an event plugin (Event Manager) and the Zenon Layout 4. I’m trying to figure out how I can have the post list at the bottom of the layout display events in addition to posts. Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks for your awesome theme!

Yeah… so at the bottom of the index page (after the blocks) using layout 4, there is a sidebar to the right and a main body that displays posts. I’m using an event plug in (Event Manager) and I would like to get that main body to display both posts and the events I create in the Event manager. Is there a way to do that? Does that make more sense?
Go to Appearance> Editor and select “layout4.php” from right and add this line:

So this leads me to two more questions relating to the same thing now that Events are showing:
1) How do I get them to display according to the date of the event (sooner-later) rather than according to when I posted them?
2) When an event description is really long, is there a way to get it to just show part of the event description and link to the actual event page if someone wants to know more?

You will have to ask these questions to the plugin developer. Since he developed the plugin he knows better.
But in the events list created by the plugin developer it displays all the events in the order in which the events will occur. It’s only on the Layout 4 front page that they are displaying according to what time they were posted/updated. Do you still think this is something I should ask the plugin developer?
OK… nevermind about that question I decided I’m just going to get rid of that bottom section on that website. Thanks for you help though

You dont need a mobile plugin, its already mobile optimized…
Is this theme supposed to resize for mobile devices? I have viewed this theme (http://zenonpro.towfiqi.com/) on my android phone and via http://www.testiphone.com/ however the page does not fit within the window, and scroll bars appear…

Yes, You can create a gallery with a full width page template and the when you click the images, they will be display in lightbox.

To install a theme from admin panel login to your admin panel and go to Appearance>Themes and click on Install themes then click the “Upload” link and upload the zip file.
After uploading the theme activate it.
Thats what I thought, getting “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”
Its because your host limited the php upload size under 2mb maybe. Try extracting the zip file and upload the zip file to wp-content/themes/ folder via FTP.
you can ask ur host to increase the max upload size of php. because its too low.

Just found your theme and love it! Wondering if it is possible to add the social links to pages as well as posts. I will be using it for a portfolio, and want to display my work in full width pages but would love the ability to add the social links as well. If the theme is not already written to do this, I am guessing it is possible to do it by adding a social media plugin?

To change the Logo, Go to Appearance> Zenon Options>General and upload the logo from there. And looks like your menu is looking wrong. Set up the menu the right way. watch this tutorial:

The thumbnails are generated by wordpress actually. I just put it in the Nivo slider. you want to remove those thumbnails?
Most of the thumbnails are perfect just as they are. For just one of them I would like to use a custom thumbnail so it shows our charity logo rather than the thumbnail taken automatically from the center of the featured image.

Hey, I have been playing with the theme and i have managed to get the quotes to show the ’66′ on the top left and the 99′ on the bottom right. I put the ’99′ image (http://youthheroes.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/lgn_quote_rt.png) into the images folder and here is the css:

After installing the PRO version, Go to Zenon Options and you will find a logo uploader there. You can simply upload your header images with it.
I have managed to change the standard thumbnail that Nivo slider uses. If the thumbnail that WordPress generates doesn’t work you can change it so each slider post can have a different thumbnail to the featured image.
If anybody wants to do it here’s how:
On the main page where the slider is displayed right click on the thumbnail you want to change and click ‘View Image’. Note down the name and location of the file from the address bar. The just replace this image with whatever other square image you want. A 150px x 150px works well.

The last thumbnail is different to the last featured image because the auto thumbnail didn’t look right because of the text.

Why do things look so different in IE as compared to FF? In FF, I would like the menu to be transparent, which it doesn’t show yet it does in IE BUT….In IE it does other weird things in menu like not have them labeled correctly or in the format that it shows in FF.
Also, do you have any idea why I would lose an article just like that?? I had a very long and detailed article that was good for a week then POOF, it was gone.

and a theme is not that powerful to remove a post. probably you accidentally removed it or a plugin did.
