    Hi Thanks so much for your work with Triton. It is excellent! Quick question: I wanted to either have the “Read More” tab on the boxes go to another page, or limit the amount of text from the page that shows on the main page. in other words, the text I have on the frontpage box is either too much for me, or I can’t add more to it when people click “Read More”. Is there a way to change this? Thanks again!

      While editing your post, notice there is a box called “Excerpt” under the post editor, write your text there and it will override the default text.

      Note: If you dont see the “Excerpt” box, click the “Screen Options” from the top of the page and select “Excerpt”

    Is there a way to get the social share buttons to appear at the top of the post rather than the bottom of the post?

      Go to Appearance> Editor and select “single.php” from right and find this line, cut it:

      1
      2
      3
      4

                      <!--Share This-->
                      <?php if($option["trt_diss_sss"] == "1"){ ?><?php } else { ?>
                      <?php get_template_part('share_this');?>
                       <?php } ?>

      and paste it under:

      1

      <div class="center">

    Why do my slider pics keep showing the same picture? I’ve loaded 4 different pictures. Is it necessary to write an excerpt for it to change? Frustrated and don’t want to change my Theme again. I love the Triton and how much does the Triton Pro cost?

    Can I upload a custom header image to this theme?

    I loved how the photos that I added to my posts would pop up when I clicked on them, but all of a sudden yesterday they stopped doing that and would just open up real big on another white page…I may have messed something up. Is it a plugin that you used to make that happen? Is it something I could get back somehow?

    Hi Towfiq, you might have missed my earlier question —

    For some reason, some of my blog posts repeat themselves — you can see them here on http://eatsshootsandroots.org/page/2/ — any idea why?

    Cheers

    For some reason I can’t get the Lobster font to work? When I select it, it shows as some kind of Times font. Tested it in different browsers. I can see the font just fine on other websites, just not my own. Help?

  • on February 12, 2012 at 5:03 pm

    The website is: http://photographicdreams.nl. I just upgraded to pro, and it still won’t show. All other fonts do, just not this one. I even tried it on the test site you posted here, but even there the font won’t show up right. Tested it on both the most recent Firefox as well as Safari, on a Mac.

    Hi (again) Towfiq, and thanks (again) for the help.
    I’ve a annoying thing to submit: When visitors wants to write a comment, it’s quite hard for them to find the shapes to write in (I mean: Name, E-mail, and so on). I’m quite sure it’s because of the white background color (and because of a mistake I did before), but none of my tries was successful to correct it.
    Maybe you have any idea ?

    Thanks again…

      Different devices, computers shows different colors different ways. I have checked the theme with laptop and noticed the issue your visitors mentioned. You can add this to stylesheet to create a thin dark border to make the fields visible:

      #respond input, #respond textarea{border: 1px solid #CCCCCC!important; background:#FFFFFF;}

    Добрый день.
    Очень понравилась Ваша тема.

    Требуется Ваша помощь:
    Пытался удалить (дату комментариев в шаблоне) и удалил лишнее. Никто не может оставлять комментарии и регистрироваться тоже. Где я могу взять основной шаблон: Triton Lite:(comments.php) ?

    И в чём отличие lite от PRO?

    Hi there! First off, thanks for the great theme! I’m having some trouble arranging the order of my slider images though, it seems to be based on their order in the Slider menu, but I can’t figure out how that order is determined exactly. Any chance you could shed some light on this for me?

    • Towfiq I.
      on February 22, 2012 at 8:23 am

      The slider is built with wordpress’s custom post type function which still does not allow reordering of posts. The post with latest date will appear first. So, I suggest you try changing the dates of the slides.

    Hi. GREAT THEME! I wondered if there was anyway to remove the bar underneath the slider which displays the number of each slide–I’d like it to just show the slides if possible. Also, is there a way to remove the vertical dotted lines which separate the posts?–small detail I know but if there is a way, I would like to do that. Thank you for your time.

      1. what do you mean by “Show the slides”?
      2. Go to Appearance> Editor and select “Stylesheet”from right and add this line to the bottom of editor:

      .lay1{background:none!important;}

    Thanks!! One more thing I wondered–is there any way to remove the bit of post that shows on the main page before you click on the post to read the whole thing? I’d like to just have my featured image and the title of the post show. Also…any way to remove the little “read more” button?

      Go to Appearance> Editor and select “layout1.php” from right and remove these lines:

      1
      2

      <?php trt_excerpt('trt_excerptlength_teaser', 'trt_excerptmore'); ?>
                          <a class="read_mor" href="<?php the_permalink();? rel="nofollow">" title="<?php the_title_attribute(); ?>"><?php _e('Read More &rarr;', 'triton'); ?></a>

    Unable to get the slider to show any content. Do the images used for the slider require a certain type. ie. png, jpg or other? Is the size for the slider images 960×300 or 960×270? Both sizes are shown in the “options” page under documentation- slider setup. Do the number of slider images (chosen in the “options” page) have to match exactly the actual number of slider entries in order for it to work?
    My sincere thanks!

      The Problem is not with the slider but with the general settings.

      Go to Settings> Reading and select your front-page as “Latest blog posts” instead of a custom page.
